Branigin Lecture: What Future for Graduates in the Arts and Humanities? A Global Perspective

Tuesday, September 17, 2019

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Indiana Memorial Union
University Club, Presidents' Room
900 E 7th St
Bloomington, Indiana 47405

In a globalized world, how we prepare students in the arts and humanities is an ever present challenge. In the Fall 2019 Branigin Lecture, Dame Hilary Boulding will discuss some of the UK's approaches to fostering a diverse workforce and preparing the next generation for sustainable careers.

Dame Hilary Boulding is Trinity College's 28th president. She was previously Principal of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama; Director of Music for Arts Council England; and a producer, director, and comissioning editor for the BBC. She was appointed DBE in The Queen's Birthday Honours list in June 2017.

The Institute for Advanced Study is grateful for the support of the Office of the Vice President of International Affairs, the Department of Art History, and the Hutton Honors College.

Light refreshments will be served from 5 to 6 PM.
