Bloomington
Bloomington, Indiana, home to Indiana University, is about 50 miles southwest of Indianapolis. Bloomington has thriving local businesses, a dynamic arts scene, and a welcoming community. There are plenty of outdoor activities as well, especially at the local lakes, parks, and nearby Hoosier National Forest.

Housing
Institute participants are encouraged to stay in the arranged campus housing for convenience, cost-effectiveness, and community building. The rooms will be in the Hickory building of Union Street Center apartments.
There are 2-person and 4-person units available, and the cost will be $66.85 per person, per night. All apartments have an in-suite kitchenette and laundry, and sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels are provided. ADA accessibility is ensured if needed. Upon request, the institute directors can provide information about other housing options for participants who prefer to stay elsewhere. Participants may also make their own housing arrangements. Participants who stay in housing other than the reserved on-campus units will be responsible for their own transportation arrangements.
Travel
Institute participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Indiana University Bloomington.
The closest airport is the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) and there are shuttle services as well as ride share services available. Please note that Bloomington is about 50 miles southwest of the Indianapolis Airport, and the ride takes about an hour by car.

Stipends
Each Content Warning participant will receive a stipend of $2,850, the rate established by NEH for a 3-week residential institute. If a participant chooses to stay in the campus housing that can be billed directly to the Institute for Advanced Study, the participant may request that the housing fee be deducted directly from the stipend.
