Join the Society for Advanced Study

The Society for Advanced Study was created to serve as an auxiliary arm of the Institute for Advanced Study. Consisting of nearly 100 academic and civic members, the Society has worked to develop public understanding and support for advanced research and creative activity. The Society has also supported the Institute financially and is a vehicle through which interested persons may share in the Institute's activities.

We look forward to renewing the tradition in which members of the Society gather for an annual meeting chaired by the President, currently the Honorable Edward W. Najam Jr.; a gala dinner; and the Herman B Wells Distinguished Lecture honoring the late Chancellor and former president of IU, a longtime member and supporter of the Society.
